Fighting ignorance, in step with technology…

Why haven’t any big companies thought of this yet? A case with a built in LCD monitor not only looks cool, but is also very functional in my opinion. It should also be quite quiet, since it is liquid cooled, always a good thing. If you could make a keyboard and a mouse slide out from underneath it that would be my dream computer. It would have all the benefits of a desktop computer, while being quite portable.

What’s the last thing you though running a fireplace on was possible? Right! water! The guys at heatnglo.com made a fireplace which electrolyses water, separating hydrogen and oxygen, burns the hydrogen, adds some oxygen for coloring and brightness, the rest of the oxygen is released in the room. The price is still unknown, but it shouldn’t be too expensive, I guess…
Well… I’ve been waiting for this one coming, if they started “reading” what’s going on in the brain it won’t take long till they are able to “write” to the brain. It’s like in SCI-FI movies, one puts on a hat and he is able to feel, see, taste pre-recorded stuff… Just imagine the computer games!
Don’t forget that all our senses are nothing but electrical impulses in the brain…
I’ve added a random quote plugin and I will add some of my favourite quotes to the database. I’ll be adding more and more as I stumble across them, so do read them
Podcasts are basically RSS feeds but instead of text content they have a link to an audio file. Files are genereally mp3s. So if you are one of those people who prefer talking to writing and have a nice voice this is for you. Podcasting could be used by radiostations, bloggers, news agencies and so on. There’s a great number of podcasts available covering everything from news to erotica.
Here are some podcast directories that I like:

As you might have already noticed, a lot of sites have mysterious RSS buttons, which look like this –
appearing. If you are still wondering what these buttons are read on.
These buttons lead to RSS feeds, which are basically news channels. So instead of going to 50 different pages to read your favourite news let the news come to you! All you have to do is install an RSS client (similar to an email client) or subscribe to bloglines.com (equivalent of web-interface for your email) and all these news will be displayed in one place, in the format you want and what’s best, as soon as they are published on the site!
RSS will save you time, since you don’t have to go to every individual page, wait for all the page to load, with all the banners and all other irrelevant stuff you will not read.
If you visit forums, you will appreciate this technology also, as you will not have to visit the forum to see if there are any new posts there, the posts will arrive in your RSS inbox!
The easiest way to get started is to make an account at bloglines.com, add some news feeds and you will be hooked within a day
guaranteed!!!

Well, bloging seems to be the new fashion nowadays, but it’s not why I’ve decided to do this. I sometimes feel that a lot of people miss out on a lot of cool things, just because they don’t know about them. So in this blog I will try to stick to things which would be useful to everyone. In general this blog will be intended to make a world a better place
p.s. Only positive things here!
